North Wales is small. But our list of attractions is big.

You can visit the locals at Conwy RSPB Nature Reserve, or the not-so-locals at Pili Palas. Take a train to the top of Snowdon, or journey deep inside an electric mountain at Elidir. Tour one of 11 National Trust properties, Erddig comes complete with landscaped parkland (very handy for walking off that Welsh cream tea). And while you're outdoors, you can bike on four wheels at Glasfryn Parc, trot on four legs at Tal y Foel Riding Centre, or try Wales' first bouncing pillow at the Greenwood Forest Park.  And that's the trouble with North Wales, you see. What to do next? Don't worry, this simple-to-use site is packed with attractions. So it's easy to see what makes us so ... well, attractive.

The UK has 66 'official' cities, this website explains what constitutes city status in the UK, with the various conflicting definitions of the word 'city', including the official definition. They have compiled some commonly sought after tables - a list of the largest cities in the UK, a list of the oldest cities in the UK, and a list of dates of incorporation (where known) of the UK's cities.

They have also compiled a city guide for each of the United Kingdom's 66 cities. These guides provide limited demographic data and a basic introduction to each city, touching on their history and their claims to fame. They also list contact details for each city's official city council website.

In addition, UK Cities have created special individual directories of local shops and services for most of the larger cities including Greater London, Bristol, Leicester, Greater Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

UK Cities is organised into country subsections for Great Britain (that is England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland.

Britain Express was begun in 1996 as a labour of love by committed anglophile David Ross, aided by enthusiastic volunteer assistance. Somewhat like Dr. Frankenstein's little experiment, things grew, and took on a life of their own, until today, when, to the best of their knowledge, Britain Express is one of the largest non-government sources of information about the UK. Though they're often flattered to be mistaken for an official tourist board, Britain Express receives no government funding whatever, and has no relation with any tourism body.

Britain Express is now owned and operated as Britain Express Limited, but it is still designed, written, photographed, and edited by David Ross and family. They're continuing to grow the website, and expand their coverage of the UK, with information and photos of places to visit.

Chortle was set up by journalist Steve Bennett in February 2000 with the aim of being the most comprehensive, critical and up-to-date guide to the all aspects of comedy in Britain. Today, the site is the premier source of comedy news, reviews and listings and attracts around 120,000 unique visitors every month.

Their priority is to keep up-to-date information on all the comedy gigs they know of. The site is constantly updated, and their aim  is to put any information supplied to them on the site within 48 hours, though this is not always possible at busy times.

Do be aware that things do change, often and at the last minute, and the line-up they list may differ from who actually appears. If in doubt, check before travelling.
